Move Into a New Shodeen Home this Summer

ILLINOIS & WISCONSIN– July 15, 2021 ––A robust housing market and record-low interest rates have left would-be homebuyers clamoring to purchase homes across the United States. In response to that need, Geneva, Illinois-based, Shodeen Homes, offers ranch and two-story homes at various stages of construction, all available this summer, at communities in Elburn, Maple Park, Sycamore and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

“New home sales surged 48.3% on a year-on-year basis in April making it difficult for buyers entering the market to find a home,” said Craig Shodeen, President of Shodeen Homes.  “Many buyers found themselves selling an existing home in record time and, while wanting the value of new construction, didn’t have the time to wait.  With that in mind, and knowing many like to move when their children are out of school, we began construction on some of our most popular plans to ensure there was more inventory available for summer move-in.”

Buyers can be part of Shodeen’s newest community, Elburn Station, with ranch, two-story and low-maintenance Village Homes available this summer ranging from 1,422 to 2,138 square feet in size with two or three bedrooms, two or 2 ½ baths, basements and two-car garages. The community is centered around the Elburn Metra Station and is within walking distance or downtown Elburn’s shops and restaurants. The first phase of the 20-acre neighborhood park with playground, tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts, pavilion and soccer and lacrosse fields, recently opened, and children attend Kaneland School District #302 schools.

Also in Elburn, Blackberry Creek is an established 625-acre master-planned community featuring ponds, walking trails, parks and playgrounds as well as the Blackberry Creek Elementary School.  Ranch homes for summer delivery range from 2,089 to 2,093 with three bedrooms, two or 2 ½ baths, basements and three-car garages.

“Our homes for summer move-in include today’s most popular features, such as wide-plank engineered wood flooring, open concept island kitchens with granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, luxury master bedrooms with private baths, studies, basements, three-car garages and more,” Shodeen said.  “In addition, our homes energy-efficient windows, insulation, spray foam, furnaces, water heaters and appliances, making them more energy-efficient than homes built just 10 years ago. Plus, every one of our homes is backed by a new home warranty giving buyers peace-of-mind when making their investment.”

Minutes from both the I-88 business corridor and DeKalb, Shodeen offers homes at Squires Crossing in Maple Park and at Reston Ponds in Sycamore. Only three homes remain at Squires Crossing and range from 1,860 to 1,974 square feet with three bedrooms, two or 2 ½ baths, basements and 2.5-car garages. Children attend John Stewart Elementary School, Harter Middle School and Kaneland High School and Squires Crossing is within walking distance of downtown Maple Park, which residents refer to as the small town with a big heart.

Just west of Maple Park, and within walking distance of downtown Sycamore, Reston Ponds, features a new 12-acre Sycamore Park District park, several ponds, and an on-site elementary school, part of Sycamore School District 427.  Ranch and two-story homes, ranging from 1,617 to 2,019 square feet in size with three bedrooms, two or 2 1/2 baths, basements and 2.5-car garages are available this summer.
